Free Horse Racing Tips for Today

Horse Racing Betting Tips

Before you go piling into anyone’s betting tips for anything, be it horse racing or, heaven help you, Love Island, it’s good to know how those tips were “created”. We don’t have a crystal ball and we don’t have Grays Sports Almanac from Back To The Future 2 (which would be rather useless now anyway as it only covers events between 1950 and 2000) – so what do we have?

Our Racing Tipster Team

What we do have, however, is a small team of people who love racing. You might call them geeks, we prefer the term “people who love racing”. It sounds a bit less geeky. These are people who have been or are semi-professional gamblers, people who have been betting on the horses for more than 30 years and people who have worked in the industry for a long time.

What we Don’t Do

That said, we don’t promote these tips as a way to get rich. These racing tips and indeed all the racing tips provided on this site are intended to enhance your fun and improve your chances of winning.

We do not make any wild and unsubstantiated claims about the profit you could or should make, and we are not claiming you will win every bet. Of course, we do not go back and change our tips to make ourselves look better.

Some sites do all of those things and more in an effort to scam people and some even have the cheek to charge for their tips. But why would anyone give away guaranteed winners rather than just simply back the horses themselves? If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Oh, and we never charge you… all our horse racing tips are free and open to anyone who wants to read them.

Genuinely Free Racing Tips

Our tips are based on our genuine statistical analysis and subsequent thoughts on who will win the race in question. If you don’t know anything about racing they give you something to follow that should certainly give you a better chance of success than simply picking the name out of a hat.

On the other hand, if you do fancy yourself as a racing pro, they will hopefully back up your own analysis. Or they may give you an alternative viewpoint and help you reassess your own research.

How Much Should I Bet?

Bank Notes

We make our tips with no strength of conviction rating, no NAPs and no bankers. All our tips for today’s horse racing action are fancied equally, other than in rare exceptions when we feel especially strongly about a given tip.

We give tips as either straight win bets or as each way bets and would recommend making the same total bet on either. That is to say, if you would bet £10 on a horse to win and our tip is each way, back it £5 each way.

In short, all of our racing tips are ones we have confidence in so your stake depends on what you are comfortable with and your own staking plan. Remember to only ever bet what you can afford to lose and always gamble responsibly. Gambling and betting on the horses should be fun and only spare funds should be used.

Which Bookie Should I Use?

Bookmaker Logos

With any tip we will feature the highest odds selected from the best horse racing betting sites that we work with. Odds are fluid and can change quite quickly, especially as the race gets closer. Note that the odds we provide were correct at the time of publication.

Obviously you can back today’s tips with whatever bookie you want. So, if you just want to stick to your normal betting site, that’s fine but be aware the odds may well be different.

Join a New Betting Site and Claim a Free Bet

If the best odds on a given race and tip are with a bookmaker you don’t currently have an online account with then that’s great news. Just join and with all the top sites we feature here at RacingBettingOffers you’ll be able to claim some form of welcome bonus or one of the many horse racing free bets.

That freebie will often be a stake not returned free bet. That means that when you place a qualifying bet (Ts and Cs will apply) you’ll be given a free bet. The free bet is often the same amount as your first bet but is sometimes 4 times as much or even bigger.

So, for example, if you like one of our tips for today’s racing and bet £5 on it, you may then be credited with £20 of free bets. Those free bets should be credited in time to bet on tomorrow’s racing and with £25 of bets and just £5 of risk, you are obviously getting amazing value.

Lastly, just to explain, a stake not returned free bet means your free bet stake isn’t returned with winnings as a normal bet would be. A £5 bet at odds of evens returns £10. However a £5 stake not returned free bet at the same odds returns just the £5 winnings.
