Horse Racing Tips Today – Monday 24th June 2019
2:00 at Chepstow – Starczewksi to win at 9/4
The Pete Smith Car Sales Handicap is the first British race of the day and it gets Monday’s action off to a competitive start. Only half of the maximum field size of 16 are heading to Chepstow but several of them have a chance of challenging the favourite, Starczewksi, in this 1m2f handicap.
Unplugged and Lieutenant Conde are the main rivals to the favourite but Starczewksi looks the most likely winner on his handicap debut. He looks progressive and should have little problem off a mark of 69 so back Starczewksi for the win at 9/4 with Coral.
7:10 at Windsor – Louie De Palma to win at 5/2
There is the threat of thunderstorms around Windsor this evening so the going at the track could quickly change from good to softer if the heavens open. For that reason it makes sense to back horses who are versatile on different types of ground and Louie De Palma fits that bill nicely.
Clive Cox has said that his seven-year-old is in great form at the moment and he has run very well at Windsor before. The market hasn’t missed him for the Marathonbet Sportsbook Handicap but Louie De Palma still looks a very good bet at 5/2 with BetVictor.
7.40 at Windsor – The Pink’n each way at 14/1 with bet365
The OLBG App For Best Racing Tipsters Handicap is an interesting race given that it is open to three-year-olds with a maximum official rating of 80 so there are several in the field of eight with scope for improvement. On the flip side, there are a couple of well fancied horses at the top of the betting who are anything but consistent which suggests we could be in line for a surprise winner.
With holes to pick in the form of Asian Angel, Fox Vardy and Early Of Harrow, consider an each way bet on The Pink’n at 14/1 with bet365. He likes a test of stamina so the step up to 1m3½f should suit and he can hold on for at least a place at Windsor.
8.00 at Wolverhampton – Street Poet to win at 7/1
Michael Herrington has a very interesting entry in the Come To Gentleman’s Evening – 16th November Handicap this evening at Wolverhampton. Street Poet returns to the all weather track at Dunstall Park having won against the same standard of opposition last time out and it’s therefore surprising to see him available at 7/1 with Ladbrokes.
This 1m½f race is 2f shorter than that most recent win but that could actually help rather than hinder Street Poet. He’s a front runner who should be able to get out early from an inside draw and get his 12 competitors beaten.
